Chief Financial Officer
Scott Luman
Finding a financial leader who understands both the numbers and the realities of the construction business is no easy task. Scott Luman brings Berg Demo Group more than 20 years of construction accounting and financial leadership experience, along with a practical, operations-focused approach to managing the financial side of complex project work.
Prior to joining Berg, Scott spent more than 20 years with Freestate Electric, serving as Controller before being promoted to Chief Financial Officer. There, he led the company’s accounting and finance functions, overseeing work-in-progress reporting, percent-complete revenue recognition, contract billing, cash flow, banking and surety relationships, audits, tax coordination, and insurance programs across multiple revenue centers.
Scott is a hands-on financial leader who believes accounting should be a partner to operations. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with project teams and executive leadership to strengthen financial controls, improve reporting and processes, manage risk, and build stable, high-performing accounting teams. He also brings extensive experience with construction accounting systems, including more than 15 years working with Vista by Trimble.
A graduate of Towson University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, Scott has also passed the Certified Public Accountant examination. His combination of construction-industry experience, financial expertise, and practical problem-solving makes him a strong addition to Berg Demo Group’s executive management team.
