Demolition crews are dismantling the Delta Hotels Baltimore Hunt Valley this spring as the hulking site gets ready for its next chapter.
The property’s new owner, an entity that includes Baltimore’s Keelty Homes, is planning to develop nearly 300 residential units there and has sent in demolition experts from the Berg Corp. to prepare the site for an eventual groundbreaking……
The project to reimagine the Delta Hotels property has been in the works for a few years and included a 2024 rezoning by the Baltimore County Council to allow dense residential development at the site. The change was needed because of the county’s strict zoning above the so-called urban-rural demarcation line, or URDL, that was created in the 1970s to preserve Baltimore County’s northern, agriculture-rich quadrant.
