Wrecking
People
The Berg Corporation’s Wrecking Division is considered one of the most proficient and capable in the United States. The maturity, talents, and shared commitment to excellence of our wrecking team is integral to our proficiency. Our entire contingent provides the safest, most non-intrusive experience possible.

Training
All Berg Corporation employees are subject to an intensive three-day onboard demolition specific training followed by an ongoing training progression to achieve proficiency as a Laborer, Advanced Laborer, Foreman, Heavy Equipment Operator, and Supervisor.
Planning
A successful wrecking project begins long before the job is awarded. Our estimators cut their teeth in the field and boasts three professional engineers. This hands-on experience allows them to design means and methods and project progression to ensure safety while maximizing production. Their familiarity with the practical aspects of the projects ensures a smooth and accurate transition from Estimating to Operations.
Operations continues intensive planning with completion of Pre-Engineering Survey, Demolition, Site Specific Safety, Hazardous Communication, and Silica Awareness Plans, Activity Hazard Analysis, Task Specific Training, and any required medical requirements.
Planning continues for the life of the project with a Daily Task Analysis, Site Safety Audits and Management Site Visit Reports which we share with our clients.

Specialty Equipment
- Komatsu PC 228’s to PC 800’s – A fleet of modern and well-maintained hydraulic excavators.
- 130’, 85’, 62’ High Reach Excavators (UHD) – This allows for the controlled, safe dismantlement of structures near neighboring buildings, roadways, or pedestrian traffic.
- 140 Ton Crawler Crane with 240’ of Stick
- Long Stick Excavator with 40’ of Reach – Perfect for removing dirt and concrete spoils from large building excavations.
- 35 Ton Onsite Rock Truck – Capable of transporting massive amounts of onsite dirt or concrete.
- WA 380 Front End Loaders – Utilized to load dump trucks, roll off containers, and to manage material generated by portable crushing units allowing the hydraulic excavators to remain engaged in the demolition process.
- Track Crushers & Portable Screening Plants – Capable of converting masonry material generated from the demolition into structural backfill. This eliminates the need to export the masonry material to a recycling operation or a landfill and the need to import the structural backfill needed for the site and utility installation portions of the project.
- Full Contingent of Brokk Robotic Demolition Tools & Attachments – Electrically powered, producing no fumes, perfect for use in occupied structures, provides heavy duty hammer and pulverization capabilities on an ultra-light carrier. Can also be used to fully demolish buildings that are too close to roadways, occupied structures, or neighboring property to demolish by traditional means.
Berg has an in-house contingent of highly trained mechanics and welder/fabricators to ensure minimization of downtime and success in meeting schedule.
